Here you can purchase individual joints for the popular YRT-304BII Yamaha tenor. If you already own a YRT-304BII and need one or more modifications to play comfortably, you don't need to replace your entire instrument. You can order the individual joint with the modification(s) that you need and fit it to your instrument.

About Modifications

Bent Neck Modification: The bent neck modification is an alteration we do here on site. It raises the position of the instrument, allowing a more comfortable angle for the wrists, similar to the position when playing alto. This also results in a slightly greater ability to stretch the fingers. The design change does not affect tuning or the sound of the instrument. Key Addition: Adding keys is a major help in alleviating finger stretch problems. The worst stretch on most tenors is for hole 3 (left ring finger) and hole 4 (right index finger). Adding keys to these holes allow the hands to shift up and down, respectively, making the stretch easier for the rest of your fingers. View our Instrument Alterations page for more information. We subcontract the addition of custom keys to our excellent woodwind repair person, so additional time may be needed to allow for this modification.
