Adding Keys to Recorder

We can have keys added to alto or tenor recorders and to select other instruments upon request. Please visit our Tenor Recorder Modifications page or contact us to determine what keys you may need. When you know what you want, contact us to work out details and pricing. If you need your instrument back by a certain date, tell us at this point of the process.

After contacting us to start the process, send your instrument (or the relevent joints) to our address. Please include a note with your name, address, contact information, the work you want done, and any deadline you may have. We work with a qualified and experienced technician who will add the keys. Once complete, we will do a final quality check and send your instrument back to you.

The entire process takes between 3-5 weeks, plus shipping time. So you may want to plan to have a backup or loaner instrument while you wait.

Plastic Yamaha Tenor to Bent Neck

This is a modification that we do on site with a process developed and perfected by Lazar's founder. We work exclusively on the 300 Series ABS Resin Tenor Recorder by Yamaha. Please visit our Tenor Recorder Modifications page or contact us to ensure this modification is right for you. Please keep in mind that this service can be combined with the service above if both a bent neck and keys are needed.

Alternately, if you don't wish to ship your own instrument, you can order individual joints with the modifications you need.
